Chapter 16

Chad Doell & Dan Gibson 17 May 2022

Abstract

How could Muslims allow their sacred Qibla direction to be changed? This chapter examines little known Islamic history, revealing how Hajjaj could influence Islam, and how later secret societies formed in Islam to protest and eventually oppose the sacredness of Mecca, to the place where they attacked the city and repeatedly killed many pilgrims.
