In 2003 a group of Petra enthusiasts tried to hike to Al Sabra from the far south of Petra, but became lost in the canyons for most of the day. While it was a very interesting trip, they did not manage to make it to al-Sabra. Below are some of the photos taken on this trip. They illustrate how narrow some of the canyons are, and how one can become lost in the maze.
