Damascus marks the start of the Hejaz Railway. While the old city and bazaar in Damascus attracts almost everyone, train enthusiasts usually head down to the old train station to experience something of what the Hejaz Railway was like in time gone past. Special thanks must be given to Ghiath for these great pictures taken during the early days of the railway. Please note that we hve no photos of the railway after the current civil war in Syria.
