The Land of Edom

The Edomite Kingdom is one of those neglected archeological topics. However, as much of Nabataea and ancient Edom overlap, we have included a special section for students of this historical period. We welcome contributions from researchers and writers, and students of this time period. Those of us here at Nabataea.net hold a special theory about the Edomites, (ie. That their early kingdom was a powerful nomadic Kingdom) which is explained in the page on the History of Edom, and expounded on in David Gibson's paper, "THE HYKSOS, KING OF EGYPT, AND EDOM." This paper was ordinally published in 1962 but has been re-edited and updated for use on this site. It provides an excellent background on the Edom.

We, however, are also interested in publishing research on Edom, so if you have information, photos, or a paper you would like to see posted here please contact us. Once again all the material on this website is copyrighted. Please either contact the webmaster above or the author of the article you wish to quote for permission to use this material.
