Hello Dan, Hope this finds you well, my wife and I are truly inspired by all your research. My wife Sarah and I are not traditional "Muslims" we follow a monotheist way of life and we follow the Quran. For over a decade we always question many things in traditional Islam and have always felt heavy hearted when coming to the sacred journey "Mecca" I for one never accepted that this was ever the location and your research has inspired us so much and have give us such clarity I would love to speak with you and find out more info on the locations of the pilgrimage as I would like to perform my hajj in Petra but I don't know where to go and how I would start. Do you think you can share some insight. God Bless, Sincerely yours, Rahim

Hello, big challenge. Dan is a good research, but as far as you don't know much about Islam and you are also not familiar with the 12-Imam Shia sect, which defended and preserved all Islamic texts and poems, you claim that Bakkah changed in 78 AH, but we Muslims have a hadith, the oral history of Islam, which was written by those who did not have access to history. History has always been written or confirmed by tyrants, who were against religion except during the time of Muhammad and Ali. In the book "Mulahim al-Fitn" written by Sayyid ibn Tawus, the time of the destruction of Bakkah was 313 AH by Hussein ibn Qarmati, the Abyssinian. This research challenges you. On the other hand, the Shia sect had 12 Imams after the Prophet of Islam, who, although they opposed the work of the governments, were mentioned in the books, and they repeatedly specified the original location of Bakkah, except for the last destruction, when all 12 Shia Imams were unseen. The word unseen has a spiritual dimension that is not understandable in a material world, but people of every religion know it well. And today, the twelfth Shiite Imam confirms your findings about the original location of the birthplace of Islam through the unseen. Do you want to get acquainted with the unseen world? Because all religions are meaningless without the unseen world, do you want to enter a world of meaning? Heaven is there, hell is there, jinn and devils are there.

@abdulhamidyawary1 As far s I know, Sayyid ibn Tawus wrote about 664 AH. So he was not an eye witness, as he was centuries removed from the events. However, Sayyid ibn Tawus was correct in his calculation of the destruction of Bakkah was 313 AH by Hussein ibn Qarmati, the Abyssinian. The Qarmati here refers tot he Qarmatians (in English). You can find a description of this in my book: Let The Stones Speak, starting on page 157. On page 164, I tell about the siege of Mecca / Bekka in Saudi Arabia. I place this about 317 AH. I have no argument with Sayyid ibn Tawus about this. This is about 247 years AFTER the Black Rock was moved from Petra/Mecca to Saudi Arabia. So outside of a couple of years different in calculation, the Sunni and Shia accounts agree on the Qarmatian invasion and destruction of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

@mrahim As far as I know, the government people at Petra frown on Muslims trying to do the hajj there. Some people just go to see, and then pray there on their own, without making a big splash. The Jordanian government is hesitant to embrace Petra as Mecca publicly, as it would stir up a lot of trouble, which they do not need.

@dangibson, thank you for your response. My goal is to do this without a splash and to satisfy my own belief. Geographically is where I need the help finding all the landmarks to complete my pilgrimage Thank you

@mrahim The steps of the original Islamic pilgrimage in Petra are listed here: https://nabataea.net/cinema/archeologyislam/archeology-and-islam-14-petra-pilgrimage/ However, as I am a follower of Jesus, I do not believe that there is any blessing or honor gained by doing this pilgrimage. I have found everything I need in following Jesus. He has provided a way to speak to God in heaven, and through the Holy Spirit to have fellowship with God, without the need to fulfill pilgrimages, or say specific prayers in specific places.

@mrahim Please see the other posts I have posted on this discussion area. Everything I have been able to work out about the pilgrimage is posted on the page below. You can follow the places on Google Earth. https://nabataea.net/cinema/archeologyislam/archeology-and-islam-14-petra-pilgrimage/ Please remember, that I am a follower of Jesus, who provided a way to speak with God himself, and to come into his presence.
