*First the book, then the movie, now the websites. All of these have made Lawrence of Arabia larger than life. On this page I hope to dispel some of the myths, and explore some of the mystery that surrounded this strange British officer who played such a large part in shaping the political boundaries of the Middle East as it is today. A great deal of Lawrence’s efforts were focused around destroying the Turkish Hejaz Railway.
